I'm not sure I knew what to expect coming in here. I was ready to here some seriously cogent and technical arguments about legality from the bankers. They are flailing. I think anyone watching c span will agree that this hearing is giving us new perspective on just how much these bankers knew what they were doing. If they can't even field a remotely convincing defense, then how can we be expected to believe that what they thought they were doing was ethical?
